1st Photoshoot – Manila Bay Well this is long overdue. Here are some of the “nice” shots I took during our photoshoot last time in Manila Bay. We’ll be having another photoshoot next month, so I have to post it here. And I’m already behind 2 assignments,. :(   Anyways, here it is:

Hehe.. bitin ba.. Just two.. These two were my favorite shots.. What you think guys? It was taken on an ordinary point and shoot Kodak digital camera. The dream to own a DSLR is stilL a dream..

Aha!!! Me? A member of a photography club? Hehe, yah I am.  Well the company put up interest clubs in the office.  Actually, Amor and I would just be a part of the list so we could fill the top 10 slots easily since there is a deadline.  My camera was one of Kodak’s old digital camera releases. And boy, do I pity myself every time we would have a meeting, because the members who had advanced knowledge would discuss about the features that is not in my camera.  L  Sigh.. sigh.. sigh.. It’s not in my budget to buy a new camera, more a DSLR. Even if the battery cover of my camera is broken and just have a screw so it would closed.  Thanks to my brother who fixed it.  But hey, I love my camera.  I love the pictures when it was developed; I love the color and how the pictures seem so real.  That’s why I always had the pictures developed in Kodak at Glorietta.   Anyways, so our club decided to have a photoshoot at Manila Bay/Luneta as part of our activity for Q3.  We had our photoshoot last Saturday, June 26.  We met around 3pm at Aristocrat in Malate.  Order a halo halo first, ang init sa labas eh.  =P 

Then we crossed the street to go to Baywalk.  And boy! It was so windy.. as in windy, even at my 130lbs figure, I felt that nadadala ako ng hangin.  And the waves was so strong that is splashes over the walls.  Getting us wet at once when you get near the walls.  Being a very amateur photographer that I am (Confession: I’m not really good at visual arts!)  I don’t know what picture to take.  I seem to forgot the basic lessons we had like the composition, subject and everything.  L  And of we go, walking along the very long baywalk, taking shots of everything we saw.  Since I don’t really know what to take, I would just go to a certain spot and would just pose.  Hehe, feeling model.  And my co-members would take a shot of me.  Oh my, I wonder how those pictures turn out.  What was the difficult part of it, aside from finding a good subject and coming up with a nice shot?  The walking part.  Imagine, we went as far as Luneta, just to have a picture with Rizal at the background and then go back to Baywalk to get a glimpse of the sunset.  But hey! When we were at Luneta, there were a group of Japanese tourist with their tourist guide explaining about Rizal.  The funny thing is when they pose for a picture, they asked the security guard to pose with them and do the finger pose thing they always had.  Hahahaha… Well, the guard tasks to be with Rizal monument was not there, the security guard said that it was the Navy who does that, but then they had to go to Fort Bonifacio so Rizal was left alone that day.  Good thing it was not scourging heat!  Another funny thing that happen on our way to Rizal park, Amor was pointing that there was a bird flying, more like an eagle.  It turn out it was a kite!  Hehe! We realize that when we got nearer!  What a nice idea!

Well the sad part was that the sun didn’t let us saw her.  She just showed a glimpse of her side for a few minutes then went back to hiding in the clouds! Sigh!  That was the ultimate scene and subject we wanted!  But then she didn’t want to be pictured in her full glory.  What’s a sunset without seeing the sun setting down. L  Oh well, overall the photoshoot turn out to be fun.  It’s fun to be doing something new, going to a place you don’t frequently go to.  Even if I miss my beau since there was a lot of couples in the park. Sigh! L But it’s something I need to take my mind off something.  Hey, I took around 70 pictures, and I hope I have at least one picture worth taking!  J  Keeping my fingers crossed!!
